12cm Mortar Bomb Trailer
I wanted to make this trailer tow-able by my other vehicles but the wheels would just fall off.
To convert it I made a new axle from 6mm brass bar, 232mm long. Drilled & tapped at each end to take an M5x 8mm Hex head flanged bolt, this will replace the wheel nuts on the wheel mounding (which have to be sanded off). Tap should be M5 x 0.8 and drilled with a 4.2mm drill to take the thread.
Drill the wheels centres to 10mm to take a roller bearing, 6mm inside dia, 10mm outside, 8mm long, these have to be glued in place as they could drop inside the wheel moulding.
I chopped off the original axles but left the saddles where they attach to the trailer and drilled through those to take the new axle.
Spacers were needed between the trailer and the wheels, 6.5mm inside dia, 12mm outside, 27mm long. I 3D printed some and then sprayed them grey.

Added an R clip for the tow bar means I can swap it front to back if needed.
This trailer should be part of a set with a 12cm Mortar on a trailer as well, I am looking out for one to come up for sale.
