M2 Bradley Idlers
Vehicles > 1/7 Scale > M2 Bradley
Start by tapping in the bearings, I used 8mm ID, 22mm OD, 7mm wide.
Each idler requires 2 bearings, I also realised they would need to be kept in alignment together so installed a 2mm pin to stop them rotating individually.
I purchased the brackets off Ebay, filed down the lugs on one side and then elongated the slot, then drilled four 3mm holes for the mounting bolts.
To drill the chassis I used the part from the plastic idlers which has an 8mm hole in the centre, place it against the chassis and drill through the centre hole. Then fit the bracket aligned on the hole you just made, drill the bolt holes then fit in place and then elongate the chassis hole to match the slot in the bracket.
Fit the 8mm bolt to the bracket to allow for adjustment of the track tension on each side.
